This is what I carry right now in my BOB. It’s still very much a work in progress but I’ve tried it out on a short walk and the weight was nice. This is like an over night bag, three seasons. If it would be winter time I’d add my GTX Bivy and a sleeping bag.

This is my wish list and things to get list. I might even swap things in the list above if I get some of the stuff below, like the JetBoil would replace the MSR water purifier and the metal canteen would replace my Nalgene bottle. Canteen, I’m thinking of a Nalgene bottle in stainless steel, this one (click here). If I get that I can even throw away the JetBoil as I can cook water in it. Maybe get a small light kettle of some sort. I think that Primus or Trangia has got some nice light ones.
