This is what my Camelbak BFM looks like. It’s filled up to like 2/3 of the total capacity – using almost nothing it the two upper compartments besides the main one.
I bought a new axe today, it’s nothing fancy but it’ll do the job once it’s sharpened, of course I forgot to buy a sharpening stone but I’ll get that on our way to Omberg. I paracord wrapped it for more grip and comfort and I also added a loop at the top of the handle that helps to secure it to the pack. When in use I can just put the loop around the back/wedge of the axe.
I also bought a Mora 2000 Sport, sharp as a MF with good durability.
Packing list looks something like this:
- Extra socks / uw
- Water blader 3L
- Nalgene bottle (empty)
- Water purification device
- Fire steel
- Spork(s)
- Soup (yeah!)
- Snacks
- Nikon D300 w. Sigma 17-70
- Small towel
- First Aid Kit
- Headlamp
- Etc.
I also got myself a new pocket-book, it was on sale at the grocery store, just 39kr.
I think I’ll bring it for the hike, if I ever get bored I have some time to read 🙂
